Ever since we launched the Ohio On Tap statewide brewery passport app in 2017, we’ve given three big pieces of advice to those who are just beginning the journey:

  • Work in groups: It’s more fun to go brewery hopping with friends, plus you can take turns being the designated driver to make sure everyone gets home safely.
  • Plan ahead: If you’re making a day of it, build in enough time to really enjoy the brewery experience. Don’t forget to double check brewery hours to make sure they’re open when you visit (stamps received while a brewery is closed don’t count for prizes!)
  • Double dipping is encouraged: If the brewery you visit is part of a local ale trail, make your one visit count for both that passport and Ohio On Tap.

To that last point, Destination Seneca County is launching a new brewery passport this Saturday, April 2. If you’re working efficiently as detailed above, you can knock this one out – and collect your prize – in a single day with visits to The Tiffin Brewery and The Laird Arcade Brewery in Tiffin and The UrbanWoody Brewery in Fostoria. All it takes is three brewery stops and a visit to any other Seneca County business and you earn a Seneca County Brew Tour howler.
