Columbus, Ohio—Columbus Craft Beer Week Presented is back with nine days of craft beer community,creativity and collaboration May 13 – 21, 2016 which coincides with American Craft Beer Week for even morecraft beer synergy.More than 200 events have already been submitted to be part of Columbus Craft Beer Week, with dozensmore pouring in each week. Central Ohio bars, restaurants, beer stores and breweries participate in ColumbusCraft Beer Week by planning unique events that showcase the creative craft beers produced by small,independent breweries. Events can include food and beer pairings, beer dinners (or lunches, or breakfasts!),limited edition or specialty beer releases, tap takeovers, meet the brewer opportunities, educational seminarsand other creative, educational and/or unique charitable events that celebrate the distinctive heritage, qualityand future of craft beer. Columbus Craft Beer Week Presented by Giant Eagle had a killer inaugural year in 2015 with sixty-plusparticipating venues hosting more than 200 special events to celebrate craft beer over a nine day span.“The guiding principles of Columbus Craft Beer Week are creativity, community and collaboration all of whichabound in the craft beer industry.” said Mary MacDonald, Executive Director of the Ohio Craft BrewersAssociation. “The guild’s partnership with wholesale distributors, retailers and breweries enables us to createa phenomenal schedule of events and activities that highlight the best of craft beer locally, regionally,nationally and internationally.”
Central Ohio breweries are banding together to create a special collaboration beer to celebrate Craft BeerWeek. The yet-to-be-named Saison will be brewed at the North High Brewing Production facility on Friday,April 8th with each participating brewery lending an ingredient for the final recipe. The beer will be available ata kick-off event at Giant Eagle Market District Grandview Yard on Friday, May 13th, at Six One Pour and atother establishments throughout the week.

Columbus Craft Beer Week will culminate in an Ohio Craft Brewers Association signature event on Friday, May20: “Six One Pour: The Ohio Craft Beer Fest Presented by Chipotle Mexican Grill” that will be held atColumbus’ award-winning minor league baseball stadium, Huntington Park: Home of the Columbus Clippers.
