Double Edge Looking Sharp
Double Edge Brewing Company got themselves a nice little present for their fourth birthday. The brewery in downtown Lancaster will unveil a brand refresh at their anniversary party on Saturday, March 26.
The titular edges of the brewery’s name refer to the two principles upon which the business was founded: crafting creative, approachable beers and supporting the Lancaster community. Since first opening their doors in 2018, Double Edge has regularly hosted fundraising events for local nonprofit organizations, as well as contributing funds and resources to charitable causes and the downtown business community.
The rebrand is more than just a new logo: the taproom is getting an aesthetic upgrade, taking cues from Lancaster’s history of glass production. Still, the emphasis at Double Edge is the union of beer and community, just as it has always been.
“People have been gathering together, drinking beer, and sharing stories for thousands of years,” says Double Edge co-owner Zac Williams. “What we’re doing isn’t new. It’s the people who come to Double Edge that make this place special. Our social lives have become increasingly digital and having a place where people can meet face-to-face and talk with old friends or make new ones is vital to any community.”
