The NCAA basketball tournaments tip off this week, the annual quest to answer the perennial question: which colleges are good at sports?

Wolf’s Ridge Brewing is celebrating this year’s march toward the college basketball championships by introducing a little madness around their newest beer. Good at Sports is a pilsner that pairs perfectly with feats of athleticism, a light lager with just a touch of floral character that shines through with each sip. The beer is available in cans on retail shelves now, but grab a pint or a six-pack at the downtown Columbus taproom to get the full Good at Sports experience.

This Saturday, March 18, Wolf’s Ridge is hosting its inaugural Pop-a-Shot tournament in the brewery’s Hickory Room event space. Entry into one of the two competition brackets – tipping off at 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. – costs $10 and includes a pint of Good at Sports pilsner. The winner of each bracket will receive a Wolf’s Ridge prize pack that includes the Champion’s Chalice, an elegant glass that confidently declares that the winner is “Good at Sports.”

That said, if you’re not particularly good at sports but want the chalice anyway, you just have to be good at having $15 to buy the glass (with a fill of Good at Sports pilsner included, naturally.)
