Accountant

RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential Functions and Duties

  • Responsible for closing the books; including posting of journal entries
  • Enter all payroll accounting transaction into ERP system and reconcile accounts
  • Prepare and distribute monthly reports for Sales and Marketing teams
  • Ensure all Retail (Restaurant, Events, Gift Shop) activity from POS system is reflected in ERP system; review, analyze and reconcile as needed
  • Process transactions for all real estate companies in ERP system, reconcile accounts and prepare statements
  • Administer company credit cards, monitor spend and approve payment
  • Review, analyze and reconcile general ledger accounts
  • Analyze financial reports and discuss the results with management
  • Prepare and submit various compliance (federal, state, local) tax reports and payments
  • Review and approve payments under the auto reimbursement program
  • Provide support for external audit and tax requests
  • Other duties and projects as assigned

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Education
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required

Work Experience
2-4 years of relevant experience

Required Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of accounting concepts (G/L, A/P, A/R, Costing, etc.), with excellent analytical skills
  • Prior experience with ERP system
  • Ability to prioritize work to balance multiple projects and deadlines
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills, with attention to detail and excellent follow-through
  • Computer savvy and proficient in Microsoft Office programs
  • Self-motivated individual who works well in a team environment
  • Ability to work ethically and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
