Sales Representative

Hard Mule Seltzer Co., the makers of Moscow Mule True Original Hard Seltzer, is looking for a highly motivated and self-driven Sales Representative to join our team.

We are a small team, hiring our first Sales Representative. This is a great opportunity to help build the future of our brand through your sales vision. As one of our first employees there is great potential to grow with this brand as we enter new markets.

To be successful in this role, you should have excellent communication abilities and be highly motivated to meet sales goals. This position is to be based in the Cuyahoga/Summit/Medina county and surrounding areas.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Participate in weekly meetings with the leadership team.
  • Participate in annual business plan meeting with our distributor, and other meetings with distributor as needed.
  • Develop new business and maintain effective relationships with established accounts.
  • Ensure that all products are rotated in each account and code policy is followed.
  • Successful sale, distribution and placement of all Hard Mule Seltzer Co. products.
  • Assist distribution partner with any resets needs and in displaying merchandise during peak seasonal roll out to chains.
  • Assist our Marketing & Events department in working, setting up and tearing down of all special events and festivals.
  • Focus on selling products and/or upgrading number of product lines in retail accounts.
  • Identify accounts that are not currently customers and develop a plan to establish business with such accounts.
  • Conduct tastings and other promotions in accounts on a regular basis or when required.
  • Maintain up-to-date awareness industry trends.
  • Execute monthly goals as related to business activities.
  • Maintain a regular schedule of weekly appointments with accounts in assigned area.
  • Maintain adherence to all Company policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements: Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Basic understanding of craft beer and seltzer.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Must have a valid unexpired driver’s license with a clean DMV record.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Ability to read maps/directions and operate GPS units.
  • Excellent customer relation skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to professionally communicate with other members of the team, and current and prospective customers.
  • Ability to work varied hours/days as business dictates including occasional evenings and/or weekends for special events.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit. The employee is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and talk or hear.
  • Ability to operate and use all equipment necessary.
  • Ability to handle product generally weighing 0 – 80 pounds.
  • Ability to bend.
