POSITION SUMMARY:  Works as member of the Sales Team to partner with both on and off premise retailers and wholesale distributors to ensure sales goals are met and customer needs are exceeded. They will be an avid MadTree ambassador who lives the behaviors – Connect, Grow, and Give a f*ck.


  • Ensure the implementation of all sales and marketing programs for the entire portfolio, including development of strategic annual sales plans by account.
  • Motivate distributor sales force to achieve sales objectives.
  • Focus on selling products and/or upgrading the number of products in all retail accounts — chain and independent.
  • Identify accounts that are not being penetrated with MadTree products and develop a plan to establish business with the accounts.
  • Plan and execute promotions and education; represent brewery at events, tastings, samplings, festivals – including setup and tear-down of equipment and materials.
  • Develop and maintain close relationships with key accounts.
  • Work with distributors to increase brand awareness and consumption.
  • Be responsible for the allocation and use of point-of-sale materials.
  • Collect data (e.g. pricing, distribution, tap handle surveys) as required.
  • Compile and submit reports required for the Sales department.
  • Track and monitor progress in all identified accounts.
  • Adhere to all state and federal laws pertaining to the sale, merchandising, and promotion of malt beverages.
  • Provide a high level of service through your personal interactions with customers.
  • Operate effectively within company and budgetary guidelines.
  • Enthusiastically spends a minimum of 16 hours per year volunteering (paid) for MadTree Impact initiatives.

  • 1-3 years of beverage sales experience connecting with retailers, consumers and distribution networks is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field preferred.
  • Must have a proven sales record and know how to have fun.


  • Valid driver’s license with active auto insurance, safe driving record, and reliable vehicle; comfort with regular auto travel.
  • Working smart phone with data plan to access apps necessary to complete daily tasks.
  • Ability to interface with various levels of management internally, with wholesale distributor partners, and retail partners.
  • Self-motivated and with the ability to work with a limited amount of direction
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team to accomplish goals.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills; ability to speak in front of large groups, conduct trainings/promotions.
  • Strong work ethic with a demonstrated ability to plan and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Working knowledge of the craft brewing industry and beer styles, including origins and flavor profiles.
  • Proficiency in Google and/or Microsoft Office applications.


  • Ability to frequently sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and climb.
  • Ability to frequently talk, hear, and smell.
  • Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds (occasionally up to 170 pounds).
  • Ability to frequently reach with hands and arms. Use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls.
