Job brief
The Head of brewing operations is an executive level position. This person will act as the department head of all brewing operations for all brands brewed at Outerbelt Brewing Co. This person will identify and implement a successful brewing operation strategy in collaboration with peer department heads and the ownership group.

- Brewing Operations
- Design, implementation, and articulation of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Facility mechanicals and equipment
- Supply and vendor agreements
Responsibilities
- Daily Brewing Operations
- Daily, weekly, monthly task management
- Operational Efficiency
- Cost control
- Inventory management
- Fulfillment of product from planning to customer deliver
- Quality Control
- Establish and maintain quality control measures
- Customer response quality control
- Maintain brand integrity
- Stay up to date on all legal restrictions regarding brewery production in each market and ensure that all initiatives are executed within those limitations
- Department Team Management
- Establishment and adherence to KPIs
- Team motivation, management, and appraisal
- Organizational Collaboration
- Work effectively across departments
Requirements
- Proven work experience in a leadership brewery position
- 4+ Years brewing experience
- Relative trade skills
- Brewery software experience, Ekos experience is preferred
- Extensive beverage and beer knowledge, with ability to stay organized in fast-paced environments
- High school diploma or GED; Bachelor’s degree or comparable a plus
- Schedule flexibility
