Director of Business Development

We have an exceptional opportunity for an experienced Director of Business Development. This position can be based remotely. The role will be focused on the continued geographical growth of our business. We’re looking for someone that shares our zany personality, love for craft beer and can beat the drum in a professional and inspiring rhythm to further our growth and partnerships in the craft beverage space.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Director of Business Development will be the key in continuing the geographical growth of Rhinegeist. Working with the VP of Sales and the CEO to determine the next areas of expansion and then to RUN and make that growth happen. This will require knowledge of those markets, how to work with distributors, evaluation of distributors, understanding of freight, general contract knowledge, and then time in the market to assure we are seeing our product best represented. Also, to work in these markets and establish relationships with Key Accounts. This role will need to learn our products, determine profitability targets in these new markets, work with our teams across the company to assure that we can meet the needs from scheduling to production, accounting and regulatory, freight, and marketing to make sure we put our best foot forward internally and externally.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the Geographic Growth of Rhinegeist
  • Develop a strategic roadmap of targets for Geographic Expansion.
  • Be the lead on meeting with potential distributors.
  • Be the conduit for National Accounts to assure we have those relationships.
  • Work Internally to assure we are set from a regulatory, accounting, production and freight perspective.
  • Assure the distribution network is representing our product well.
  • Establish distribution metrics, sales goals, product assortment.
  • Communicate relevant timeline for all National Account new item submissions.
  • All other tasks as assigned.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum 3+ Years of experience in business development in the alcohol industry.
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Contractual knowledge, regulatory understanding, and ability to work cross functionally across our organization.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and financial modeling for various types of business concepts.
  • Experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office suite for data examination and interpretation, and particularly with PowerPoint or other presentation software to be able to present comparative analysis of a wide range of ideas in a consolidated format.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills.
