Private Events Sales Manager

We have an exceptional opportunity for a Sales Manager for Private Events. This position will be based in Cincinnati.   The role will be focused on selling our Private Events Spaces and supporting the Private Events team as we look to utilize our space. We’re looking for someone that shares our zany personality, love for craft beer and can beat the drum in a professional and inspiring rhythm to further our growth and partnerships in the craft beverage space and in the community.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Sales Manager for Private Events will lead our sales efforts to sell out our Private Events Spaces. We offer a unique combination of affordable and beautiful spaces that can be utilized for so many different occasions. The ability to partner with businesses in the region to offer our spaces and assure a fantastic experience for our guests. The person for this role would ideally come with contacts and prospects, but more importantly they need to be fearless in knocking on doors and making calls and have an appetite to find prospects and close the deal.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work with and manage Event Coordinators to ensure responses to in-bound inquiries via email & telephone within 24 hours of initial contact.
  • Develop and maintain strategic relationships with corporate and non-profit clients.
  • Increase sales by growing out-bound sales.
  • Work to increase weekday events & corporate bookings.
  • Organize and categorize all sales leads for easy reference in the future.
  • Work with the Director of Private Events to create, manage and meet sales goals.
  • Execute quarterly sales targets.
  • Maintain positive and ongoing relationships with clients and vendors, especially by replying to all forms of communication in a timely manner.
  • Properly handle and maintain a wide variety of administrative tasks, including continued organization of a customer relationship management process.
  • Promote continual growth through general sales and upselling, as well as attending networking events throughout the community and hospitality industry.
  • Take initiative and work with other team members when it comes to research and development of new event concepts as they relate to the overall goals of the department and company.
  • Stay up to date with the Rhinegeist culture and new directions the company is taking with brands, beer, products, etc.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum 2+ Years of experience in event space or comparable sales
  • Experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
  • Excellent communication and time management skills.
