Head Taproom Brewer

Sixth Sense Brewing Company located in Jackson, Ohio is a fast growing micro brewery, taproom and restaurant.  We will be moving into a new 6,000 sq. ft space later this summer and are currently looking for an energetic and passionate brewer to head up our small batch taproom brewery.

Our small batch brewhouse consists of a dual 2 BBL Brewhouse w/ 8 fermenters.  1 fermenter is dedicated to sours and we have started some barrel aging of sours, Belgian ales and stouts.  We brew a wide variety of beers so that we always have a diverse selection in the taproom as well as test batches that eventually get scaled up to production.

Responsibilities Include but are not Limited to

• Daily Brewing and Cellaring Operations
• Proper Cleaning and Sanitation of Tanks and Workspace
• Keg Filling and Cleaning
• Assisting on Canning Days at Packaging Facility
• Unloading Trucks (Forklift experience a plus)
• Maintain Inventories on Ingredients
• Assist Head Brewer on Brew Days as Needed
• Maintain Strict Quality Control Measures
• Development of new recipes while adhering to established recipes

Requirements

• 1+ years working in brewing operations
• Leadership Experience
• Extensive Beer and Industry Knowledge
• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to work in hot/ cold temperatures
• Ability to stand for long periods of time and move kegs, cases of beer, heavy ingredients, etc.
• Technical and Mechanical Skills
