Twin Oast Brewing is a Farm-to-Fermenter brewery on our family-owned, 60-acre farm.  We are excited to be expanding our brewing team and bringing on a Brewers Assistant.  This is a great job opportunity for someone who is looking to build more brewery experience, or people looking to take the first step into the brewing industry. This is a full-time position.

Job Description:

Our Brewers Assistant’s role is to work alongside the brewing team during every step of the brewing process from wort production and cellaring to packaging and line cleaning.  We are looking for someone who is creative, dedicated, and detail oriented.

The Brewers Assistant is to follow all current SOP’s and maintain industry safety standards at all times.

Job Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Work closely with brewing team to achieve desired quality and production targets;
  • Complete assigned tasks in accordance with company standard operating procedures and guidelines.
  • Follow all safety procedures.
  • Periodic handling of hazardous chemicals.
  • Keep accurate daily production records per company and Federal Requirements.
  • Continually maintain all beer production areas including equipment – (grain room, brewhouse, cellar, gas tank storage, etc.).
  • Attend production meetings and contribute to product improvement.
  • Being a Twin Oast brand ambassador
  • Assist taproom staff as needed – (help moving kegs, maintenance & repairs, etc…)
  • Tank management (gravity checks, trub dumps, dry hopping)
  • Packaging (both kegs and cans)

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to lift 55 pounds, frequently bend and maneuver around tight/confined spaces.
  • Must be able to stand for the duration of the shift (8-12 hours)
  • Must be able to perform strenuous work in a non-temperature controlled environment
