Lots of great releases and celebrations taking place around Northeast Ohio this month. Here’s a look at a few notable happenings:

  • Cheers to five years of beers from Noble Creature Cask House in Youngstown! The brewery will release five beers to celebrate this Saturday, Dec. 17, including a 24 month wood aged Flanders brown ale called Oud Creature and an anniversary blend – Quintet Cuvée – made in collaboration with Pittsburgh’s Cinderlands Beer Company. (details)
  • Happy Street Bru Werks is also celebrating five years of beers this Saturday at their taproom in Mount Vernon. The brewery’s annual holiday party doubles as a year-end blowout: Happy Street is taking a winter vacation until Jan. 6, 2023, so stop in if you need that Ohio On Tap passport stamp! (details)
  • Imperial stout fans, get ready to scale Missing Mountain in Cuyahoga Falls for this Saturday’s release of We’re Not Mad, Just Disappointed. The brewery made two versions of the beer this year: a Mexican coffee stout and a breakfast stout, both using coffee beans from Yada Yada Coffee. As if that weren’t enough, Missing Mountain will also release two bourbon barrel aged versions of We’re Not Mad, as well as a fresh batch of Space Peanut pastry stout. (details)
  • In addition to The Grynch, a traditional Ohio-style Christmas ale (as detailed in Marc Bona’s excellent roundup piece for Cleveland.com), Birdfish Brewing also has a trio of seasonal sour ales to get you in the holiday spirit. Stop by the taproom in Columbiana to be visited by the Goses of Christmas Past, Present and Future, each with a yuletide-inspired fruit addition. (details)
