CENTRAL

Looking for a touch of class in your craft beer? Indulge your taste for the finer things with this brand new brew from North High. Society is a simply crafted but elegant sour ale, opting not to flaunt any garish fruit additions, but rather relying on classic, time-tested ingredients and techniques to deliver layers of contrasting flavors. The traditional, acidic bite of this sour ale is offset with the addition of lactose for a silky smooth, luxurious drinking experience. At just 4% ABV, you can maintain your grace and aplomb during a prolonged session of tippling. Society is available on tap at all North High locations, as well as in six-packs at select retailers. GREATER CLEVELAND

On the heels of a successful fourth anniversary party, Noble Beast Brewing isn’t taking their foot off the accelerator (though, given the brewery’s signature piece of decor, it would be the hand and not the foot.) This week, two beers get a can release from Noble Beast’s downtown Cleveland taproom. War Canary witbier features unmalted Ohio-grown wheat sourced locally from Haus Malts for a smooth, creamy body, contrasted with the brightness of orange peel and the spiciness of Indian coriander. Polotmavé Pivo 13° is a Czech-style amber lager that draws its hearty character from darker malts; restrained hop aromas and bitterness make this an enjoyable warm weather brew for dark beer fans. Enjoy a pint at the taproom and take a four-pack to go. More details at facebook.com/noblebeastbeer

Breweries, bars and restaurants had it bad during the pandemic, but music venues were arguably the hardest hit sector of small businesses. COVID-19 concerns kept people from congregating in large groups, which essentially made concerts impossible. Some music venues attempted to stage performances with seated, socially distanced audiences, but operating at such diminished capacity proved not to be financially viable. To support these musical and cultural institutions, breweries like Lock 15 in Akron brewed beers to raise funds to help them through this tough time. This Sunday, June 13, Lock 15 will release Hello Akron!, a hoppy wheat ale with can art featuring four local music venues that will benefit from sale of the beer. WEST CENTRAL

Warped Wing Brewing’s signature Belgian-style cream ale is delicious all on its own, but Ermal’s really pops when it gets a boost from added fruit flavors. As we start to roll into the summer swelter, nothing hits the spot quite like a frozen treat from the back of a truck. On the hottest days, only a creamsicle will do the trick: the cool, refreshing vanilla ice cream encased behind a layer of sweet, citrusy orange flavored ice. Warped Wing introduces vanilla and orange peel to their flagship cream ale to create the adult version of that classic summertime treat. Ermal’s Creamsicle releases today at the Warped Wing locations in downtown Dayton and Springboro, both on draft and in six-packs. Find out more at facebook.com/warpedwing
